The legendary Shiliu Station in Shiliuban opened in Meiji 38 (1905), originally named Shiliuban-eki. In the 1960s, this station primarily supplied railway ballast for the entire island. It is currently a flag stop on the TRA West Coast Line, with only commuter electric multiple units (EMUs) making stops. The wooden station building and staff dormitory were constructed in the early post-war period.
