Yongcui Pavilion

Located in Hukou Township, Yunlin, Yongcui Pavilion is a place that preserves many Japanese-style buildings, and it is the most completely preserved Japanese-style building within Hukou. Also known as Youshui Pavilion, it served as a guesthouse for entertaining distinguished guests during the Japanese colonial era and is now a dreamy Instagram check-in spot. Yongcui Pavilion was a guesthouse used to host official and military guests during the Japanese colonial period. It falls under architectural types such as guesthouses, VIP guesthouses, rest houses, assembly halls, or lodging houses. It features a Japanese wooden architectural style, including typical shoin-style elements such as zashiki, ijima, and tsukeshoin. Its form is exceptionally elegant, earning it the reputation as Hukou's most beautiful residence.
