Dounan Station

Dounan Station, originally known as Taliwu Station, was established in Meiji 36 (1903). Towards the end of World War II, it was rebuilt into a brick station building, making it the last railway station in Taiwan to be reconstructed during the Japanese colonial period. In earlier times, sugar bags produced by the Huwei Sugar Refinery were transported to Dounan via the sugar railway, and then further distributed to ports for export via the Main Line.
