Jianhu Ciguang Temple

Ciguang Temple is situated on Jianhu Mountain in Gukeng Township, Yunlin County, a place of serene beauty. It faces the natural Jianhu (Sword Lake), whose vibrant waters reflect the sky year-round, and is backed by the forested slopes and cloud-kissed peaks of Jianhu Mountain. To its west lies the expansive Chianan Plain, while to the east, the Central Mountain Range, including Datashan, offers a protective embrace. **Attraction Features:** The temple's monastic complex underwent its second reconstruction, with the entire project completed in October 2003 (ROC Year 92). Its architecture embodies a humble, reserved Northern style. Since Venerable Yuanjiao assumed leadership over thirty years ago, Ciguang Temple has undergone two reconstructions, consistently dedicating itself to beneficial endeavors such as Dharma propagation, education, and charity. Now, with its solemn and magnificent monastic complex revealed to the world, Ciguang Temple humbly rejoices in forging countless good affinities with monastics and people from all walks of life.
