Shibi Eco-Recreation Area

Shibi, located approximately a 20-minute drive from the Caoling Tourist Business District, has become a popular hiking destination in recent years. It serves as an intermediate stop for the Xitou-Caoling traverse. Ascending to the highest point, Shibi Mountain, you can admire the ethereal mist over the distant mountains, and with a bit of luck, you might even encounter a dreamlike sea of clouds. You can start from the furthest hiking trail, walk through a section of the Moso Bamboo Forest Trail, then enter the camphor forest to experience the tranquil and elegant atmosphere of the Shibi mountains. Afterward, visit the Jiuyong Sacred Tree to see a Jiuyong tree that miraculously survived a devastating fire, or head to Shibi Immortal Valley to witness how the gurgling stream has carved the rocks into a magnificent canyon.
