Zhenwen Academy (Wenchang Shrine Temple)

Built in 1797, it is one of the 'Four Great Academies'. Its predecessor was a Wenchang Emperor Shrine. Many literati and cultured individuals once gathered here for poetry society meetings, imbuing the place with a rich cultural atmosphere. It is the sole survivor among Yunlin's Four Great Academies. The plaque on the beam, preserved since the Jiaqing period, is considered a national treasure.
