Mailiao Wind Power Plant

Four wind turbines imported from Denmark stand majestically at the mouth of the Zhuoshui River's northern levee, reaching a height of 45 meters with a blade diameter of 47 meters. They hum as the wind blows. Although their economic benefits are not high, they serve as a prominent symbol for the green energy strongly advocated by the current government. This site attracts groups of local officials and residents from counties such as Taoyuan, Miaoli, Hsinchu, and Pingtung, who are interested in constructing wind power facilities, to visit and observe. It is also a must-visit spot for pilgrimage groups attending temple fairs in coastal areas to take commemorative photos, and an excellent location for outdoor educational trips for elementary school students from nearby counties.
