The Haishali Futian Temple, originally named Jinxing Temple, is known for its Kapok Goddess and is nestled amidst seasonal flower fields. Its main deities are Lord Xu Fǔ Qiānsuì and the Third Mazu, the Heavenly Holy Mother (popularly known as Haishali Mazu). The temple was founded in the mid-Qing Dynasty. During the Showa era, village chief Chen Huaifa initiated fundraising to rebuild it on the original site into a brick, tile, and wooden structure. The temple underwent major renovations in 1954 and 1963.
