The Beigang Story House grandly opened on March 23, 2012. Its founding purpose is to promote the spirit of Mazu's universal love, preserve local cultural heritage on the verge of disappearing, gather traditional artisans and artists to inject new vitality, and collaborate with enthusiastic individuals. Through these efforts, it aims to authentically present the long-standing local characteristics, providing folk historians with opportunities for research and remembrance of ancient artifacts. The Beigang Story House is a public welfare-oriented venue, aligning with the mission of Chaotian Temple. For example, Taiwanese student Wu Chien-Heng, with the support of Chaotian Temple and this museum, traveled across countries in Asia, Africa, and South America. He utilized traditional folk culture, such as Taiwanese Prince Nezha (San Tai Zi) deity puppets and Eight Generals (Ba Jia Jiang) masks, to actively promote Mazu culture and engage in citizen diplomacy. In the future, the scope will be expanded, with the hope that Beigang Mazu can achieve prominence on the international folk stage.
