Guanxian Guitar and Musical Instruments, nestled amidst the fields of Shuilin Township, is where Master Chen Kuo-ming personally crafts every guitar. Master Chen is one of Taiwan's few remaining guitar makers, boasting over thirty years of experience and having crafted countless guitars. In recent years, the ukulele craze, sparked by idol dramas, has drawn public attention to this humble rural handmade instrument workshop, attracting many enthusiasts who visit specifically for it. Under the attention of the Yunlin County Government, Guanxian Guitar and Musical Instruments has recently not only enhanced and innovated the added value of its products but has also injected cultural and creative ingenuity. They use the concept of painted guitars to encourage people to learn the instrument, allowing folk song melodies to resonate in daily life. Future plans center on painted guitars, boutique guitars, melody guitars, fantasy guitars, personalized guitars, and ukuleles, integrating them with local culture for joint marketing efforts, such as participating in the Shuilin Sweet Potato Festival and hosting educational tours for primary and secondary schools.
