This site, now a tourist pedestrian area, was originally a small wooden bridge used by locals to cross the Huwei River. During the Japanese colonial period, it was rebuilt into a steel-frame bridge to facilitate sugarcane transport for the sugar factory. After being damaged by floods in 2012, it was rebuilt. Today, it serves as a tourist pedestrian route, taking about half an hour for a round trip. Visitors can also enjoy various artworks displayed on the bridge piers.
