Six Naphtha Cracker Grandma's Park

Six Naphtha Cracker Grandma's Park was built by brothers Wang Yung-ching and Wang Yung-tsai for their mother, Wang Chan-yang. It is located to the right of the entrance to the Six Naphtha Cracker Industrial Zone. Its architecture resembles Greek style and the White House, earning it the nickname "Little White House." The pond in front features Roman-style architecture. The park boasts attractions such as a maple forest trail, a colorful fountain, an arched bridge, a statue of Grandma planting vegetables, an artificial river, and a waterfall. Covering an area of approximately 7 hectares, the park is home to over one million landscape trees, including casuarina, sago palm, and Norfolk pine. It also attracts various birds like egrets, white geese, Muscovy ducks, and mallards. Notably, the Formosan Black Cicada, a species endemic to Taiwan with a population of fewer than a thousand and on the brink of extinction, has been sighted in the park. This demonstrates the excellent planning and maintenance of the park's ecological environment.
