Maming Mountain Zhen'an Temple, home to the Five-Year Lords, is primarily dedicated to the Five-Year Grand Princes and the Twelve Family Name Lords. Every four years (in the years of Tiger, Horse, and Dog), it holds the grand 'Five-Year Dake' ritual and a 'Qingjiao' festival for peace and blessings. These events deeply influence the daily folk customs of nearly 500 incense-offering villages and communities within the Yunlin-Chiayi-Tainan religious sphere. The Lantern Festival procession on the 15th day of the first lunar month is commonly known as 'Chifan Dan' (the eating shoulder-pole feast).
