With six decades of unwavering dedication, this establishment preserves the last remaining traditional craft of making feather dusters for cleaning dust in Taiwan. While feather dusters are quite rare in ordinary households today, in a traditional courtyard house in Puyan Township, owner Chen Zhong-lu still maintains this age-old handcrafting technique. It has become a unique leisure and tourist attraction. On weekdays, student groups visit for outdoor education, and on weekends, tourists from all over Taiwan come to explore. This peaceful rural community has been revitalized by these feather dusters. Many parents worry that their children spend too much time on computers and mobile phones, leading to distractions from learning. By collaboratively making a feather duster here, not only do parent-child relationships become more harmonious, but children also practice how to concentrate on a task, boosting their sense of accomplishment and satisfaction, which greatly contributes to improving learning stability.
