Nanguo County Governor's Official Dormitories

Since 1920, the area around what is now Nanguo Elementary School in Changhua City, Changhua County, has been known as 'Nanguo'. It belonged to Changhua County under Taichung Prefecture, and its chief administrator was called the 'County Governor'. Sixteen dormitories were built here, and they continue to be used as dormitories for county government staff to this day. As time passed, the dormitory complex gradually fell into disuse and disrepair. The teachers and students of Nanguo Elementary School initiated a preservation and revitalization campaign, officially taking over the operation of Houses No. 7 and No. 8 in 2017. Here, the children hope to lead everyone in exploring the various possibilities of historical buildings and sharing their own stories with this place.
