Changhua High-Speed Rail Station

Changhua's transportation landscape has recently gained two very important landmarks: Yuanlin Railway Station and Changhua High-Speed Rail Station. Among these, Changhua HSR Station is particularly notable for its design scale and recognition. Designed by architect Kris Yao, the station's overarching concept is a 'Golden-rated Green Building.' It aims to embody the spirit of local industry, using the Chinese character '田' (meaning 'field') as its core design idea. The station's distinctive features are composed of flowers and sunlight, an endeavor to integrate the imagery of local flora into a contemporary, high-tech rail hub. Inside the station, the floor-to-ceiling windows and indoor green landscaping create stunning visual transformations at night, illuminated by lights and architectural silhouettes. In April 2016, it received the 'Popular Choice Winner' in the Train Stations category of the A+ Awards hosted by Architizer in the United States, cementing its status as a crucial landmark in Tianzhong.
