Jasmine flowers were introduced to Hualtan from northern Taiwan in the 1950s. Due to Hualtan Township's unique climate and environment, jasmine became the lifeline of the township's industrial development, with its production volume leading the entire island. In recent years, the jasmine industry gradually declined due to the challenge of cheap jasmine flowers flooding in from other regions. To revitalize Hualtan Township's jasmine industry, the Hualtan Farmers' Association collaborated with farmers on contract farming, transforming traditional cultivation methods and adopting safe agricultural practices to grow non-toxic jasmine flowers. After various trials and setbacks, the "Jasmine Hualtan" brand was finally established. All products under this brand are made from local jasmine flowers certified by SGS to be pesticide-free. Upholding its original aspiration and perseverance, the brand has won numerous domestic and international awards. In 2013, the Hualtan Farmers' Association transformed an 80-year-old granary into the "Jasmine Hualtan Dream Hall," cordially inviting everyone to visit the Dream Hall to admire, taste, and savor jasmine!
