Beitou Fengtian Temple

This Earth God temple is the oldest in Lukang, built as early as before the third year of Emperor Yongzheng's reign in the Qing Dynasty (1725). In the past, Lukang had an Earth God temple built in each of the five directions (east, west, south, north, and central) of the town to guard it. Currently, only the Northern Earth God temple has its own independent space; most of the others have been relocated into different temples.
