To commemorate the tragic and fierce resistance of the Taiwanese people against the Japanese forces during the "Battle of Baguashan Anti-Japanese Resistance" in 1895, the Changhua County Government has specially adopted the concept of a war historical park, giving the Baguashan Giant Buddha Scenic Area a new recreational theme. Through small-scale exhibitions, it aims to awaken the memory of the historical battle of Baguashan. The park's landscape and disused spaces, such as air-raid shelters that have been closed for many years, have been renovated, revitalized, and repurposed. The exhibition hall is divided into sections explaining the Sino-Japanese War (Jiawu War), the Battle of Taiwan (Yiwei War), and the Battle of Baguashan, presented through display panels and audio-visual media. The unique spatial feel inside the tunnels, combined with these exhibits, allows visitors to experience the tense and oppressive atmosphere of wartime, enhancing their on-site experience. Visitors can enter the air-raid shelters to experience scenes of refuge during wartime chaos, and even personally visit historical scenes to feel the tension as Japanese forces crossed rivers southward in the silent night, prompting reflection on the meaning and consequences of war. The museum is located behind the "Changhua County Library."
