Fuxing Granary

The Fuxing Granary originally served as a place for storing and collecting rice from various regions, symbolizing prosperity. Built around 1935 (the 24th year of the Republic of China), it still retains its complete traditional 'dormer windows' and walls constructed from rice husks, straw, and clay. It has since become an important landmark in Fuxing Township. Changhua County is a major agricultural region, and Fuxing Township has been a significant agricultural area since the Japanese colonial period, which led to the establishment of this large granary, spanning nearly 1,000 ping (approximately 3,300 square meters). The most valuable feature of the Fuxing Granary is its roof, which is equipped with 'dormer windows' designed for ventilation and heat dissipation. This unique architectural structure is highly appreciated.
