Many elegant literati and poets would often gather on clear nights to recite poetry or enjoy tea under the moon. The owner of the Shi-Yi Building was a very hospitable gentleman. He built an elevated walkway between the two connected buildings, allowing guests to lean on the railing and gaze at the moon from above. It's worth noting that the Shi-Yi Building's elevated walkway intersects with Jinsheng Alley, forming a cross shape. Furthermore, this place is deemed 'suitable for the zither, suitable for chess, suitable for poetry, suitable for wine, suitable for painting, suitable for flowers, suitable for moonlight, suitable for games, suitable for smoking, and suitable for tea' – these are the ten 'suitable' activities, hence its name, the Shi-Yi Building.
