Lugang Jinmen Hall

Lugang Jinmen Hall, a county-designated historic site, serves as a protective temple for seafarers and primarily worships Lord Yong-sheng Wangye of the Su family. This wooden temple building exudes an antique charm that evokes nostalgia. History of Jinmen Hall: Jinmen Hall was originally the Jinmen Guild Hall. Due to its enshrinement of Lord Wangye Su from 'Wude Palace' in Jinmen, it was also known as Wujiang Hall. It was built in the 52nd year of Emperor Qianlong's reign (1787). Initially, the temple was narrow and inadequate for its use, so it was expanded in the 10th year of Emperor Jiaqing's reign (1805), after which its scale became grand. It then underwent several subsequent renovations, until its most recent restoration in the 88th year of the Republic (1999), which gave it its current appearance.
