Hushan Temple, a county-designated historic site and one of Changhua's three famous temples, primarily enshrines Guanyin Bodhisattva and serves as a tranquil retreat for monastics. In 1747 AD (the 12th year of Emperor Qianlong's reign during the Qing Dynasty), devotees from Baishakeng initiated the construction of a Buddhist temple dedicated to Guanyin Bodhisattva. The temple was built thanks to the donation of mountain land by devout follower Lai Feng-gao, establishing Hushan Temple as one of the three renowned temples in Changhua during the Qing Dynasty.
