North of Lugang is the Tianhou Temple, while to its south lies the Ksitigarbha Temple. This arrangement symbolizes the religious beliefs of Lugang's communities, with one overseeing heaven and the other overseeing earth. The worship of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva is highly significant in Lugang. During the Zhongyuan Pudu (Ghost Festival), this temple is bustling with incense offerings and worshippers, and the ceremonies are exceptionally grand. The main gates, typically closed on regular days, are opened wide for the occasion, and the "Ullambana Festival" is held until the temple closes at nightfall.
