The Yuemei Suspension Bridge, located in Xiaotongluoquan, Tongjing Village, Sanwan Township, was built in 1929. It was originally a vital route connecting Nanzhuang and Sanwan to Toufen. The bridge deck, with its steel beam structure, is 4 meters wide and approximately 150 meters long. Handcart tracks for transporting coal were also laid on top, and at that time, it was a crucial thoroughfare for traffic between the two banks. After the completion of Xihe Reservoir and the Emei Bridge above it in 1951, the Yuemei Suspension Bridge retired from service, with only its bridge piers on both sides remaining standing. Later, a short section of steel bridge structure was built on the existing bridge piers, supported by tie rods and the old bridge piers. It extends out with a transparent glass floor, creating an observation platform to admire the riverside scenery. Standing on the bridge, visitors can enjoy the natural scenery of the river upstream and downstream. Through the glass floor, they can also see the Emei River gently flowing beneath their feet. Occasionally, egrets fly past, creating a tranquil scene that is refreshing for both body and mind.
