Hengpingbei Fish-Viewing Trail

The Hengpingbei Eco-Fish Viewing Trail is located in Donghe Village. The name "Hengpingbei" originates from the Hengpingbei community of the Saisiyat tribe. The one-way trail is approximately 1 kilometer long, running along the left bank of the Hengpingbei Stream. The trail has two entrances, one to the south and one to the north. The southern entrance is located next to Zhongxing Bridge, at approximately the 4.3K mark of Miaoli County Road 21, where clear signs are visible. Situated by the moist riverside of a valley, the Hengpingbei Eco-Fish Viewing Trail boasts lush, verdant trees, fostering rich ecological resources. The babbling stream, enveloped in lush greenery, allows visitors to get close to the water and observe fish and shrimp swimming freely. Benches are strategically placed approximately every 200 meters along the trail for visitors to rest. The entire trail features sleeper steps paved with gravel, and the elevation changes are not significant, allowing the entire route to be completed in about half an hour. It is an excellent destination for leisurely strolls, connecting with nature, and during the transition from spring to summer each year, visitors can also enjoy the beautiful scenery of fireflies and Tung blossoms, making it suitable for the whole family.
