Hakanis Mountain stands at an elevation of 1988 meters. Formerly a hunting ground for the Atayal tribe, its forest landscape remains well-preserved, beautiful, and captivating to this day. Soon after starting the hike, from a viewpoint on the ridge, one can overlook the Luchang tribal village. Further along, from a spot on the lower part of the ridge in the middle section, it's even possible to glimpse the mouth of the Zhonggang River and the West Coast Expressway Bridge in the distance. Moreover, due to Hakanis Mountain's inland and high-altitude location, it experiences fewer strong winds and is often enveloped in mist, making a walk through it feel like entering an ethereal fairyland.
