Countryside Legend Leisure Farm

Countryside Legend Leisure Farm is located in the Hudong Recreational Agricultural Area of Xihu Township, Miaoli County. It boasts a high vantage point, situated directly above the Xihu Service Area of National Freeway No. 3. From the farm, visitors can overlook what is known as the country's most beautiful service area, and in the distance, enjoy views of the West Coast. The scenery becomes even more captivating after dusk. The bustling traffic on the highway, the crowds at the service area, scattered fishing boats on the sea, and the twinkling lights of the countryside, all accompanied by the chirping of insects and birds within the farm, offer a mesmerizing panorama. The full beauty of Xihu is revealed here. The name 'Countryside Legend' was chosen because, aside from pomelo trees cultivated for nearly twenty years, the area was once desolate. Nine years ago, my spouse and I decided to transform it. From clearing the land to establishing every plant, brick, and stone within the farm, everything was meticulously handled by our entire family through collective effort and creativity. Over the years, it has united us, becoming our most beautiful dream, and we hope that one day it will indeed become a legend in this countryside. The farm's rich ecology is a notable feature; crickets, butterflies, frogs, and cicadas can be seen everywhere. Hundreds of Taiwan Red Pine trees over forty years old, maple trees, tung trees, and other lush greenery provide ample shade, offering a refreshing escape from the heat. Here, you can enjoy freshly ground handcrafted coffee or brewed floral tea under the trees, have a barbecue or a meal with your family. From late March to mid-April, you can savor the fragrance of pomelo blossoms throughout the farm, taste pomelo flower tea, and even adopt a pomelo tree. From mid-April to mid-May, admire the tung blossoms, known as 'May Snow.' From mid-May to mid-June, enjoy the golden acacia tree blossoms. In September, pomelo self-picking is available. The entire farm uses organic cultivation methods, with absolutely no pesticides sprayed, ensuring healthy and safe produce.
