Golden Dragon Kiln began as a traditional pottery business, primarily producing items such as wine jars, water vats, flower pots, and everyday ceramics. The factory has been in operation for over twenty years. In earlier times, Mr. Li Yi-wu crossed the sea from Fuzhou to Taiwan to establish the business. It was passed down to the second generation, brothers Li Ming-ju, Li Zhao-qing, and Li Zhao-chun, who founded Golden Dragon Kiln. Now, the business is managed by the third generation, cousins Li Jin-ming and Li Rong-guo. They continue to uphold tradition, with hand-thrown and sculpted pottery as their main products. The rise of decorative ceramics in the 1970s almost superseded traditional pottery, and with the impact of recent industrial transformations, traditional pottery has struggled to find a place. To ensure the sustainable operation of their family legacy, Golden Dragon Kiln, which started with traditional water vats and wine jars, urgently sought breakthroughs and innovation. They have now transitioned to creating modern, appealing lotus flower pots, and have incorporated Hakka elements into the design of unique tableware and beautiful ceramic lamps, among other items. In this beautiful garden, nestled deep in the mountains, visitors can personally experience the joy of working with clay. Through hand-throwing or hand-building pottery, they can learn about the traditional pottery-making process and create their own unique ceramic artwork.
