The House of Our Lady of Loreto, located in Touwu Township, was completed and opened on March 25, 2007. Identical to the original House of Our Lady of Loreto in Italy, it is the third such house in the world and the only one in Asia, serving as a pilgrimage site for Catholics. The original 'House of Our Lady of Loreto' (Loreto) in Italy is a Catholic shrine that attracts nearly a million pilgrims from around the world annually. According to Catholic belief, it was miraculously relocated from the birthplace of the Virgin Mary in Nazareth, Israel, where Mary was chosen by God to become the mother of Jesus. The bricks and tiles of the House, which Jesus touched as a child, have now been moved to the 'House of Our Lady of Loreto' in Italy for devotees to venerate. Beyond the shrine, the garden scenery here is equally captivating. A stone sculpture of the Virgin Mary at the entrance seems to welcome all visitors. The pristine environment and European-style architecture create a distinct and exotic atmosphere, making it well worth a personal visit to experience and appreciate.
