Mystical Valley

Mystical Valley, located in Nanzhuang Township, is about 2 kilometers before Lucun. It lies at the confluence of Fengmei Stream and Bilin Stream, making it one of the most distinctive scenic spots in the Lucun area. However, due to the steep and dangerous nature of its streambed, Mystical Valley was closed many years ago. The Tri-Mountain National Scenic Area Administration then planned and constructed a walking trail. The timber and gravel path, built using eco-friendly methods, allows visitors to safely approach the stream and enjoy the scenery, witnessing the beautiful and mysterious charm of Mystical Valley. A suspension bridge, rich in Atayal tribal character, has also been rebuilt. The beautiful valley and stream scenery provides a respite from the city's sweltering summer heat. Breathing in the air filled with phytoncides and moisture, listening to the gurgling water, and feeling the gentle mountain breeze – what could be more enjoyable than this! Mystical Valley offers a very open landscape, divided into upper and lower sections. The upper rock bed is not long; here, the rushing stream has carved numerous grooves, creating beautiful patterns. The lower section drops approximately 30 meters from the upper, consisting of 6 or 7 rock steps. Water cascades down from above, forming multiple rushing waterfalls, and pooling into a 2-meter deep pond at the base, where the water is cool and clear. The suspension bridge is 150 meters long and connects to the Shimen Trail on the opposite bank, allowing visitors to walk all the way to Shimen. From the bridge, looking upstream reveals the wide Mystical Valley, while downstream shows a deep, emerald-green stream valley. The views are distinctly different, yet equally stunning.
