Nestled deep within the Laozaki red soil hills and terraces in the northeastern corner of Toufen City, a pristine, underdeveloped sanctuary awaits. Here, terraced tea gardens and maple-shaded avenues, the gentle whispers of pine trees, and acacia-lined paths abound. Recreational trails connect various scenic natural spots, where the chirping of cicadas and birdsong compose nature's symphony. In summer, tung blossoms romantically blanket the ground like white snow. As the seasons change, yellow acacia flowers, pomelo blossoms, and pear blossoms emerge, accompanying visitors on the trails. Their vibrant beauty and refreshing fragrance consistently delight and amaze all who visit. This secluded paradise is what we call the 'Toufen Secret Garden'. Upon arrival at the Toufen Secret Garden, a visit to the 'Laozaki Recreational Trail' is a must. This trail boasts a new look after renovations, with construction projects carefully preserving the original topography and built using natural ecological methods, ensuring it is both beautiful and retains its rustic charm. The trail stretches approximately four kilometers, with parking available at four entrances: Xuanhua Temple, Jinchun Farm, Yiming Tea Garden, and Rixin Tea Garden. Visitors can choose a short round trip or an O-shaped loop hike based on their time and physical condition. Along the way, the pine forest stone steps trail, maple-lined red soil trail, hibiscus-lined sleeper trail, and acacia red soil trail each present their unique charms. Toufen is renowned for its 'Pengfeng Tea,' and as such, tea gardens are plentiful throughout the Secret Garden. A stone tablet inscribed 'Toufen Secret Garden' stands before each tea house, marking your entry into this pastoral paradise. 'Pengfeng Tea,' also known as 'Oriental Beauty Tea,' boasts a unique flavor cherished by tea enthusiasts. After a hike or a leisurely stroll through the woods, consider relaxing with a cup of exquisite tea. The Xu Family Ancient House's Hakka courtyard, Yiming Tea Garden's red brick tea house, Youyou Xiaojing's Tang-style garden tea house, and Jinchun Farm all exude a rich cultural ambiance, perfectly embodying the serene spirit of Chinese tea appreciation.
