Xianshan Lingdong Palace primarily worships Guan Gong, enjoying abundant incense offerings. It is shrouded in a light mist year-round, with clouds often hovering ethereally amidst the mountains, imparting a distinct sense of an immortal realm. The architecture of Lingdong Palace is magnificent, featuring carved beams and painted pillars. Xianshan (Immortal Mountain) is located at the border of Shihtan and Nanzhuang townships, with an elevation of 967 meters. It was originally named Hongmaoguan Mountain. According to legend, a mountain spring capable of curing all ailments, known as "Immortal Water" (Xianshui), was discovered here, leading to Hongmaoguan Mountain being renamed Xianshan. Lingdong Palace is situated on the mountainside of Xianshan and comprises two levels. The upper level primarily enshrines the Jade Emperor, while the lower level is dedicated to Emperor Dongyue and revered deities of the Three Teachings. The Immortal Water can be found next to Xieling Palace, which is behind Lingdong Palace. Ascending the small steps beside Xieling Palace leads to a small pavilion where the "Immortal Water" can be drawn. The trailhead for Xianshan is to the left of Xieling Palace; the summit marker can be reached in a half-hour walk. Xianshan, with an elevation of nearly 1,000 meters, stands between Hongwei Mountain and Bagua Ridge, and is renowned far and wide for its "Immortal Water" that can cure diseases. Many miraculous legends surround Xianshan's Immortal Water. Lingdong Palace itself is elegant and, like the surrounding area, is enveloped in a light mist year-round, with clouds often hovering ethereally amidst the mountains, imparting a distinct sense of an immortal realm. Lingdong Palace is a palace-style temple architecture situated deep within Xianshan, long shrouded in mist, making it an auspicious location according to geomancy. Ever since the spring water, rumored to cure all ailments, was discovered here, the fame of Lingdong Palace has gradually spread. Pilgrims and visitors from all over often organize groups to come for pilgrimage, collecting the "Immortal Water" to take home and drink. From the platform in front of Lingdong Palace, one can enjoy a panoramic view of Xianshan's forest scenery, offering excellent prospects.
