Along Miaoli County Road 48, there's a red-brick house. Its outdoor garden is adorned with colorful wishing wind chimes. Whenever the mountain breeze gracefully visits, the crisp tinkling of the chimes echoes, one after another, as if greeting the wind and welcoming every friend who visits 'Huigu Ceramic Arts' – yes, this place, filled with romantic creativity and melodies of happiness, is 'Huigu Ceramic Arts', spanning over 2000 ping. Huigu Ceramic Arts was co-founded by the couple Dai Zhi-ting and Chen Yi-tzu. As Ms. Chen was formerly a ceramic painting artist in Yingge, visitors to Huigu's exhibition space can admire numerous elegant blue-and-white porcelain pieces, ranging from early hand-painted porcelain to contemporary ceramic art. Huigu Ceramic Arts is one of the few kilns in Taiwan capable of producing both pottery and porcelain. Furthermore, their modern ceramic creations are very popular with the public! For instance, their tung blossom season collection, whether teaware or wall clocks, features elegant and minimalist designs that bring the enchanting beauty of tung blossoms to life, making them utterly captivating! In addition to showcasing a wide array of highly creative pottery and porcelain, the park also offers kiln observation tours and organizes various DIY workshops. These include courses on painting wind chimes, tableware, teaware, and vases, as well as hands-on experiences with pottery wheel throwing, slip casting, and hand-building clay. These rich and engaging activities are designed to let visitors fully enjoy the pleasure of creation and immerse themselves in the intellectual world of ceramic art.
