The Miaoli Characteristic Hall was originally an army maintenance depot. In 2005 (Min-guo Year 94), it was renovated with Hakka themes and transformed into a tourist service imagery park. In June 2013 (Min-guo Year 102), it was renamed "Miaoli Characteristic Hall". The hall is located in Gongguan Township, covering an area of approximately 2 hectares. It features the Miaoli Ceramics Museum, Sifang Kiln, Miaoli Kiln, Charcoal Kiln, and exhibition areas for citronella oil, bitter tea oil, and camphor oil. It is positioned as a complex of exhibition halls showcasing Miaoli's ceramic development and traditional industries, offering comprehensive services related to local culture, traditional industries, local specialties, and tourism and leisure.
