Flying Cow Ranch

Flying Cow Ranch is located in Tongxiao Township, Miaoli County, bordered by the Huoyan Mountain Range to the east and facing the Taiwan Strait to the west. It boasts rich natural resources and diverse ecosystems. In the endless rolling hills, cattle and sheep roam the grasslands, and farmhouses with white walls and red roofs are nestled on the lush green fields, painting a charming pastoral picture. Flying Cow Ranch covers an operational area of 120 hectares, featuring a dairy farm zone, a ranch ecology zone, a pasture cultivation zone, an organic fruit and vegetable zone, and a forest conservation zone. It is home to 500 dairy cows, producing approximately 6 metric tons of fresh milk daily, as well as 150 Barbados Blackbelly sheep, black goats, miniature horses, waterfowl, and other adorable farm animals. The ranch also showcases seasonal fruits and vegetables, and ecosystems featuring camphor tree forests, acacia forests, tung trees, and more. The current service facilities cover an area of 43 hectares and include a visitor recreation zone with BBQ areas, camping sites, accommodation, restaurants, souvenir shops, dairy product specialty stores, and meeting rooms. There is also an agricultural experience zone with a grassland activity area, aquatic ecology zone, dairy cow ecology zone, Barbados Blackbelly sheep ecology zone, butterfly ecology zone, forest bathing trails, natural farms, and a children's play area. The ranch owner has also meticulously designed a 'Green Classroom' for nature experiences, where visitors can enjoy DIY activities, cultivate creative aesthetics, indulge their playful inner child on the grasslands, mingle with cattle and sheep, dance with butterflies, and get up close and personal with the animals to explore the wonders of nature's ecology.
