Huoyan Mountain Forest Ecological Education Center

The Huoyan Mountain Forest Ecological Education Center is a distinctive landscape building with three stories above ground and two underground. Both its exterior and interior design reflect the unique natural features of Huoyan Mountain. Located in the urban administrative center of Sanyi Township, Miaoli County, the center officially opened on April 16, 2005. Since August 2009, it has been managed by the Biodiversity Research Center, National Pingtung University of Science and Technology, under commission from the Hsinchu Forest District Office, Forestry Bureau. The center aims to integrate its existing exhibition facilities with high-quality educational programs, providing a learning environment for the general public and schools of all levels to study Taiwan's geological landscapes and forest ecology. It also serves as an educational attraction for visitors to the Miaoli region, seeking to raise public awareness of environmental resources and encourage active participation in conservation, ultimately achieving sustainable environmental education.
