Sifang Ranch

The owner of Sifang Ranch originally worked in the garment and raincoat manufacturing industry. However, in the 1970s, as the New Taiwan Dollar appreciated and mainland China opened up, the room for survival for Taiwan's labor-intensive industries shrunk significantly, prompting him to actively seek a transition. At that time, Taiwan's dairy farming industry already had a solid foundation. Milk produced by dairy farmers was 100% purchased by milk processing plants, meaning farmers were only responsible for production, with sales entirely handled by the plants. Moreover, raw milk had a guaranteed price – what a wonderful industry! In fact, the ranch owner was originally from a farming family. When he was little, there were many mosquitoes in the countryside, and cows often suffered from mosquito and fly harassment in the summer. He saw his father personally sew mosquito nets, allowing the cows to sleep inside them. The cows had virtually become members of the family, so he naturally had a special affection for them. When the topic of raising cows came up, both his father and son approved wholeheartedly (his wife being the exception), and so he entered the dairy farming industry. Spanning over 10 hectares, Sifang Ranch has preserved its original and pristine ranch scenery. Visitors can follow the lush acacia forest trails and enjoy a refreshing forest bath, or revel in the green pastures, embracing the vibrant greenery all around. Of course, what's even more special is getting up close with dairy cows and learning about their ecology! Whether it's feeding calves, observing the milking process, or tasting the fresh milk rated as the best and most mellow by the Homemakers' Union, these are all fresh and enjoyable experiences.
