Visitor Essentials
Feifeng Mountain is named for its mountain shape resembling a phoenix craning its neck, making it a picturesque hiking destination. It offers different natural beauties throughout the four seasons: rhododendrons bloom in spring, flame trees blossom in summer, and in winter, you can enjoy the fresh fragrance and snowy white blossoms of plum trees, allowing visitors to experience nature's diverse charm as the seasons change. The trails on Feifeng Mountain are gentle and easy to walk, suitable for most hikers, allowing for an effortless ascent to the summit without requiring excessive physical exertion. From the Guanrih Pavilion at the summit, you can overlook the beautiful scenery of the Touqian River valley plain and also admire distant majestic peaks such as Jiaoban Mountain, Jiutong Mountain, and Wuzhi Mountain. On clear days, looking northeast from here, you can even clearly see Taipei 101 with the naked eye, a truly stunning sight. After descending, you can also sit down at a nearby coffee shop, enjoy a cup of coffee, leisurely take in the mountain views, and relax your body and mind. Feifeng Mountain's Guanrihping Ancient Trail is one of its most iconic classic hiking routes. The entire route consists of stone steps with a gentle incline, and some sections are dirt paths intertwined with tree roots, making it very suitable for beginners and hikers looking to challenge minor peaks (Xiao Baiyue). Feifeng Mountain Guanrihping Ancient Trail type: Foothill Trail. Difficulty: Low. Length: 6 kilometers. Surface conditions: Dirt path, stone path, wooden steps, access road.
