Qionglin Township Farmers' Association Farmers' Direct Sales Station

The Qionglin Township Farmers' Association Grain Drying Center is an operational facility that currently provides grain collection and drying services. Visitors can learn about its various facilities, including a large weighbridge, grain dryers, grain pits, and public grain storage areas. The center also offers an antique manual winnowing machine (over 30 years old) for visitors to experience, allowing them to step back in time. Additionally, a farmers' direct sales station is located on-site, selling agricultural products from small farmers in Qionglin Township and Hsinchu County. The facility also features a non-toxic vegetable garden, a 'no-bending' herb garden, and a succulent plant area, all established as part of the 'Green Care Station' courses, designed to enhance visitors' five-sense experience. The center offers an agri-food experience program centered on rice, where visitors can learn about its structure and characteristics. Supplemented by the historical stories of 'Qionglin Tribute Rice,' the program helps visitors understand the immense effort their ancestors put into securing a full meal, aiming to encourage those who choose not to eat rice today for various reasons to cherish every bite of white rice on their table.
