Tiaoshuili Trail

Located in the Nanpu Community, adjacent to Beipu Old Street, this area boasts beautiful mountains and waters with picturesque scenery, earning it the moniker 'Golden Waterland'. Many residents here have farmed for generations, preserving a simple rural way of life. Upon arriving at Nanpu Village, the first thing that catches the eye is a red steel beam bridge. Its structure resembles the Arabic numeral '100', earning it the nickname 'Hundred-Percent Bridge' and making it a lucky pilgrimage site for many students. Next, you'll pass the historic 'Washing Pavilion'. Beneath it, there's an irrigation ditch and laundry stone slabs, where residents still wash their clothes to this day. Continuing forward, you'll soon see Shiye Gong (Stone Grandpa). Beside it is Nanchang Temple, an important spiritual center for Nanpu residents. The entrance to the 'Tiaoshuili Trail' is along the paddy field path across the way, marked by a set of stone tables and chairs as a recognizable landmark. The Tiaoshuili Trail is approximately 100 meters above sea level, with a stream running through the area. Stepping onto the Tiaoshuili Trail, you'll be greeted by lush green rice paddies. If you visit during the harvest season, the scenery transforms into a golden expanse, with heavy rice stalks swaying in the wind, creating beautiful 'rice waves'. Looking up, you can also admire famous mountains such as Mount Egongji and Wuzhi Mountain. Although the Tiaoshuili Trail is not long, its scenery is full of variety. Soon, the surrounding landscape transitions from soothing pastoral views to a lush, verdant forest; be mindful of fallen leaves and branches underfoot. Next, you'll encounter an emerald-green steel bridge, reflecting the verdant green of the primal forest. The bridge's color seems to blend with the surrounding greenery, creating a unique ambiance. Beneath the bridge, a stream babbles, and sunlight filtering through the leaves makes the water sparkle even more. Following the trail's steps, you'll soon rejoin the connecting access road. Across from it is the entrance to Guanyin Trail, located next to the historic 'Jingang Temple'. The Tiaoshuili Trail is a suburban mountain trail with low difficulty, extending 1.47 kilometers. Its surface consists of stone steps, flagstone paths, and wooden boardwalks.
