Xiuluan Wild Hot Spring

Xiuluan Hot Spring is located in Xiuluan Village, Jianshi Township, Hsinchu County, at the confluence of the Yufeng, Taigang, and Baishi Streams. It is the earliest and most famous open-air wild hot spring in Jianshi Township. The spring water is colorless, odorless, and slightly acidic. Soaking here allows visitors to enjoy the river valley scenery, such as the 'Warship Rock,' which resembles a battleship setting sail. Walking across the Kongxi Suspension Bridge and Warship Rock Suspension Bridge offers even more stunning views of Xiuluan. In autumn, vibrant layers of red maple leaves adorn the mountains. Beyond the bridges lies the famous Liquidambar forest, and in early spring, mountain cherry blossoms bloom along the paths, creating a breathtaking landscape. Xiuluan Hot Spring has two main spring areas. One is reached by walking down to the riverbed from beside the Kongxi Suspension Bridge, heading to the confluence of the Yufeng and Taigang Streams, approximately 170 meters away. This spot offers the best views and a close-up of Warship Rock. The second location is accessed by walking down a dirt path beside the Guanxi Pavilion to the riverbed, about 100 meters away. The hot spring pools here are directly below the Xiuluan checkpoint, and this area tends to have fewer visitors. These natural hot spring pools often change location annually due to river flooding. Xiuluan Hot Spring is a weak alkaline carbonic acid spring. Located in Xiuluan Village, it is one of Taiwan's many wild hot springs known for its abundant flow. This wild hot spring emerges from the clear Takijin Stream. The water temperature is not high, and the water is clear, colorless, and odorless. Due to its remote location and inconvenient transportation, it retains its pristine natural scenery.
