Ready for a journey where history and nature intertwine? Step into Hsinchu, traverse lush green forests, and the beautiful scenery of Hongmaogang will sparkle before your eyes, waiting for you to discover! According to records in the 'Hsinchu Prefecture Gazetteer', Hongmaogang is located at the mouth of the Hongmao River and was a major port in northern Taiwan during the Qianlong era, serving as the initial landing point for early settlers. At that time, the Dutch and others once anchored here, leaving their historical mark. The flat sandy shore became a landing site for many prominent families, beginning their new lives. Today, Hongmaogang not only boasts a rich historical background but is also a beautiful natural attraction. The mangrove forest here is a unique mixed forest of Kandelia obovata and Lumnitzera racemosa found only in northern Taiwan, protecting a precious ecosystem. You can stroll through the recreation area, following beautifully designed boardwalks, to explore this unique natural landscape. Especially at dusk, climb the observation tower to admire the beautiful sunset and experience the tranquility and grandeur of nature. The interweaving of history and natural scenery here offers every visitor an unforgettable experience.
