Fenyang Hall, Quanzhoucuo, Zhubei

Quanzhoucuo is located in Lucang Village, Zhubei. It was originally a hunting ground for the Taokas people. Later, people from Quanzhou came here to cultivate the land, and the Lin family from Raoping took over the cultivation of this area, gradually turning it into a Hakka village. The old place name preserves the information that Quanzhou people once resided here. Zhubei Fenyang Hall is situated in Quanzhoucuo, Doulong Village, Zhubei City. In 2004 (the 93rd year of the Republic of China), the Hsinchu County Government undertook urban renewal in the Lucang-Doulong area, implementing land expropriation for the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST) zone. Due to the complete structure of Fenyang Hall's sanheyuan (three-sided compound) architecture, it was preserved within the Zhubei urban plan and designated as park land. To ensure its preservation, the original owner actively advocated. Following a review by the Hsinchu County Cultural Heritage Review Committee, it was deemed to possess cultural heritage value, and in 2007, Zhubei Fenyang Hall was officially registered as a historical building.
