The Eagle Stream Trail, located in Yufeng Village, Jianshi Township, has become a very popular tourist attraction in recent years. Stepping onto the trail, you are enveloped by lush forests, with the gentle sounds of flowing water and various insects and birdsongs filling the air, allowing you to instantly forget your worries. The trail is flanked by dense forests and rich ecosystems. The entire journey isn't long, and while there are occasional steep slopes, most sections are paved flat and easy to walk, making it quite accessible. Along the way, you'll cross two bamboo arch bridges that not only exude Atayal tribal charm but also add to the trail's unique character. The latter half of the trail features a wooden boardwalk built along the mountainside, a fish-viewing pavilion, Eagle Rock, and numerous small waterfalls. Upon reaching the final destination, Lipu Waterfall, you'll be greeted by gusts of cool breeze, offering an incredibly refreshing escape from the heat. Here, you can also witness the unique sight of Formosan landlocked salmon (Onychostoma barbatulum), often called 'fireflies of the water,' shimmering brightly in the stream. Its rich ecology and spectacular natural scenery make it one of Jianshi Township's most beautiful hidden gems. It is recommended to first enjoy a forest bath at Eagle Stream Trail, then return to Asahi Hot Spring for a soak, allowing both body and mind to experience nature's rejuvenation and relaxation.
