Beipu Cold Spring

The area around Beipu Cold Spring, renowned alongside Su'ao, boasts well-preserved original ecology. Along the way, the hills are lush green, the streams are clear, and the scenery is rich in variety. It is also a secret spot for firefly viewing, attracting large numbers of visitors from late April to May each year to watch the fireflies, with the mountainside sparkling like myriad stars. Beipu Cold Spring is a weakly alkaline carbonic acid spring, slightly salty, making it ideal for a refreshing soak in summer. Besides Beipu Cold Spring, don't forget to visit Beipu Old Street, which has the highest concentration of historical sites in Taiwan, featuring numerous historical buildings and Hakka delicacies.
