Hukou Hakka Cultural Park

The buildings here are constructed from red bricks, including two arched street houses and two Hakka roundhouse buildings. It features an Agricultural Culture Exchange Hall, a Hakka Folk Customs Ceremony Hall, and a Shennong Dadi Blessing and Peace Hall. With Hakka culture as its theme, it guides visitors to experience Hakka humanities and history. The tops of the red-brick buildings are adorned with colorful Koji pottery. The "round-headed, square-mouthed" Hakka lions on the walls differ from the commonly seen Guangdong lions; originating from martial arts for defense, they are "martial lions" skilled in kung fu. The streets are decorated with various nostalgic children's toys and public art installations, perfect for beautiful casual photos and check-ins. Stepping into the street houses on both sides, one is a local agricultural product exhibition and sales center, while the other is an ancient costume experience center where visitors can rent traditional attire to role-play as Hakka brides or grooms for a day. The innermost Hakka House (Haoke Lou) enshrines the deity Shennong and stages "face-changing shows" at fixed times, featuring impressive sound and light effects. The Hakka House also has a Memory Jigsaw Puzzle Museum, where artists have created miniature models depicting rural life, including ancestor worship rituals with pigs, sun-drying persimmon cakes, city god parades, and traditional Chinese medicine shops. The park also regularly hosts themed events such as markets and exhibitions—let's meet here to spend some wonderful time together! The park often holds various themed events in its outdoor plaza, such as flea markets and open-air cinemas. On weekdays, visitors can also experience old-fashioned children's toys like stilt-walking and spinning tops. One of the street houses on both sides is a local agricultural product exhibition and sales center, while the "HA Coffee" in the other red-brick house uses local specialties like white rice, cherry duck, and kumquat sauce to create various light meals. Friends who prefer static activities can visit the exhibition halls to see permanently displayed Hakka artifacts and enjoy various interactive game facilities. In the "Ancient Wedding Theme Hall – Hakka Wedding Joy" exhibition area on the 1st floor of the red-brick house, visitors can experience wearing ancient Hakka wedding attire for photos and learn more about the six ancient Hakka wedding rituals: "Kitchen Ceremony, Carrying Ceremony, Hairpinning Ceremony, Tea Offering Ceremony, Dish Offering Ceremony, and Washing Ceremony," which reflect the importance placed on family ethical relationships. The Hakka roundhouse "Hakka House (Haoke Lou)," which enshrines Shennong Dadi, displays early farming tools and a train platform, making visitors feel as if they've traveled back in time, immersed in the past life scenes of the Hakka people. The most eye-catching attraction is the "Memory Jigsaw Puzzle Museum," which presents rural life through miniature models. It's cute and great for photos, suitable for families of all ages to visit together and learn about Hakka culture.
