Visitor Essentials

Cycle leisurely along the pastoral paths between Guanxi and Xinpu. This bike path, though rarely frequented, offers an extra sense of adventure due to its solitude. Stretching 28.8 kilometers from Guanxi to Xinpu, riders can enjoy the purest countryside scenery: lush green rice paddies, fruit orchards, farmhouses, and tranquil small communities, all weaving together to form a true pastoral tapestry. If you choose the Zhú 16 route, you can pass through villages and attractions such as Pinglin Elementary School, Yuanhe Temple, Pinglin Pond, Shanglin Community, Fan Family Ancient House, Xiangyuan Free-Range Chicken Restaurant, Nanhe Community, and Neili Community, adding cultural surprises to the otherwise uniform fields. Although this route has no bike rental stations, shops, or convenient resupply points, it is therefore more suitable for couples and adventurous riders who want to "get lost" in nature, enjoying an independent atmosphere and unspoken companionship. The overall gradient is gentle, and although traffic occasionally appears, it does not detract from its tranquil, down-to-earth atmosphere. This is a route full of surprises, where one can inadvertently stumble into a hidden rural gem. **[Tips]** * Be sure to bring your own bicycle, sufficient drinking water, and sun protection. * As the route is quite long, it's recommended to plan your resupply points before setting off. **[Trailhead/Endpoint]** * Start: Intersection of Zhongyuan Road Sec. 3 and Gaoyuan Road * End: Xinlong Road (border of Taoyuan City and Hsinchu County) **[Total Route Length]** 28.75 kilometers **[Certified Resupply Station]** Guanxi Taihe Temple **[Transportation Information]** * **Public Transportation:** Take the TRA to Hsinchu Station, then transfer to Hsinchu Bus 5619 (towards Guanxi) and alight at Guanxi Station. Head south on Zhongxing Road for about 150 meters towards Provincial Highway 118. The bike path is located on Provincial Highway 118 (Zhongshan Road). * **By Car:** Take National Freeway No. 3, exit at Guanxi Interchange, then take Provincial Highway 118. The bike path is located on Provincial Highway 118 (Zhongshan Road).
