Jinyong DIY Tomato Farm

Jinyong DIY Tomato Farm is located at the 60-kilometer mark of Provincial Highway 3, Guansi section. The farm offers various activities, including a tomato family theme farm, DIY fruit picking, an eight-color bell pepper greenhouse, a three-dimensional semi-organic strawberry garden, a flower exhibition and sales area, gourd painting, Hakka rice food DIY, Lei Cha (pounded tea), flower DIY, and more. It provides a rich and diverse rural fruit-picking experience, combining agricultural production, ecology, and daily life. Admission to the park is free, and free guided tours are provided. Since the optimal growth temperature for tomatoes is 18-25 degrees Celsius, the tomato farm employs greenhouse hydroponics. The hydroponic system here uses rock wool for soilless cultivation, allowing for control over temperature and moisture, and effectively preventing the growth of pathogens. This not only ensures quality but has also successfully cultivated many varieties never before seen in Taiwan. Upon entering, visitors feel as if they've stepped into a 'Tomato Magic School,' captivated by the colorful tomatoes of various shapes and hues before their eyes. Currently, the farm boasts over 20 tomato varieties from around the world, including Japan, Korea, the Netherlands, Italy, Israel, India, and more. Among them, the Japanese Momotaro variety has been introduced the longest, and the farm is also a pioneer in cultivating the Dutch Golden variety, known for its slimming properties. Other popular international varieties include the Dutch Beefsteak tomato and the Japanese Boba tomato, known as the 'tomato giant.' With such a wide array, many visitors are amazed as they pick fruit and explore, adding a lively charm to the tomato farm. Besides self-picking, the farm also offers tomato juice, tomato popsicles, tomato ice cream, and a variety of delicious and nutritious tomato-based light meals.
