Gaoping Tomato Farm

Gaoping Tomato Farm, located at the 20.8K mark of Guansi County Road 118, is a cultivation area certified by GAP (Good Agricultural Practice). Freshly picked fruits ensure a safer eating experience. To facilitate fruit picking, the farm operates at two locations. Gaoping Farm (Location 1) is situated in Datong Village, Guansi Township, Hsinchu County, about 2 kilometers from the Guansi Interchange towards Xinpu, on the right side above a small embankment, with a planting area of approximately one jia (about 0.97 hectares). Gaoping Farm (Location 2) is located in Shiguang Village, Guansi Township, Hsinchu County (118 Road, 19.8K mark), with a much larger planting area than Gaoping Farm (Location 1). Tomatoes and colorful bell peppers from both farms are in season from October to May of the following year and are priced by weight. Visitors coming for fruit picking on weekdays are encouraged to visit the newly opened Gaoping Farm (Location 2) to enjoy a more spacious picking area and modern facilities. At Gaoping Farm, the most popular fruits for picking are the large and beautiful Momotaro tomatoes, as well as two varieties of small tomatoes (red and yellow), all of which are very sweet and delicious. In addition, the farm offers free tastings for visitors at its store, provides telephone ordering and home delivery services, and has added a special agricultural products display and sales area, DIY painting, mochi pounding, and a series of other parent-child activities. Both the farm's operations and recreational offerings are well worth a visit and experience. All orchards are cultivated in net houses, growing many different varieties of delicious, safe, and healthy tomatoes. Besides tomatoes, they also grow colorful bell peppers, corn, cucumbers, and seasonal vegetables.
